Our Mission
To empower individuals in making choices that will
lead them to take control of their lives and maximize
their potential for safer, healthier living. CARDV
is opposed to the use of violence and intimidation
to control another person:CARDV wants to break the
patterns of family violence that exist in our community.
Our Vision
To provide victims more access to services in their
community.
To build a coordinated community response to rape
and domestic violence.
To create a system that holds batterers and predators
accountable.
To raise children free from the legacy of domestic
and/or sexaul assault.
Our Services
Local and Toll Free Crisis Line
Available 24 hours a day providing emotional support,
referral information and safety planning
Emergency Temporary Shelter
Hotel or motel placement to victims of domestic
violence or sexual assault (and their children) who
are fleeing abusive situations
Crisis Intervention
Non-therapeutic one-on-one sessions which provide
emotional support, resource information, and advocacy
during an immediate crisis.
Case Management
One-on-one sessions to help victims develop and
meet life goals.
Court Advocacy
Assistance provided to victims of domestic violence
or sexual assault in completing and filing Emergency
Orders of Protection or Child Orders of Protection.
Court preparation plus service referrals are available.
Upon request, advocates are available to accompany
victims to their hearings.
Emergency Room Advocacy
Sexual assault or domestic violence victim and advocacy
services are available on site at the request of the
victim.
Counseling
Services are provided to help victims deal with the
aftermath of victimization.
Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Education
Individual sessions regarding the nature and dynamics
of domestic or sexual assault.
Community Education
Presentations are available to local clubs and organizations
regarding CARDV services, domestic violence, sexual
assault, dating violence, sexual harassment or community
response.
Support Group
Weekly sessions offering group support and recovery
from domestic violence or sexual assault.
Referrals
CARDV offers referrals to other service agencies within
our community.
Volunteer training
CARDV offers free volunteer training. For information,
